Gin (Gil Jefferson) And Tonic
Gin (Gil Jefferson) And Tonic
Gil was the doctor on board Captain Jefferson's ship, which landed on the coast of Calabria at the end of the 1800s; he was impressed by the juniper berries of the area and tried to experiment with a product made only with local botanicals. Today that gin has been recreated in the same way as then, filtered with a simple linen cloth, to obtain a yellowish distillate with a citrus aroma, with floral and herbaceous hints; the taste is savoury, fresh, with notes of mint and long-lasting aromatic herbs.
